Malik Nikee Thomas, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 20, 2017, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. On that fateful day, police responded to a report of an injured person in the 1100 block of N. Fairview Road. Upon arrival, officers found Malik Nikee Thomas suffering from injuries sustained during an assault. He was immediately transported to UNC Nash Healthcare, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
