On September 29, 2004, the life of 60-year-old Janet Bacon, a female, came to a sudden and violent end in the small town of Brooks, Maine. She was fatally shot with a 12-gauge shotgun upon entering the residence of Jerome Reynolds Jr. Bacon, who was unarmed and dressed only in a nightgown and slippers, had forced her way into the home.
