In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunshots pierced the quiet of the Lincoln Heights neighborhood. On August 7, 2022, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call in the 300 block of 50th Street NE. Upon their arrival at approximately 12:17 a.m., they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
