On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 5:41 p.m., a homicide occurred in the 1200 block of Oak Drive, Southeast, Washington, D.C. The victim, identified as 32-year-old D'Andre Dixon, was shot and killed at the scene.

When officers responded to the area after being flagged down, they found an adult male, later confirmed to be D'Andre Dixon, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate attention, Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene.
