Frank T. DiNapoli, a 31-year-old detective, tragically lost his life on December 16, 1995, in the Bronx, New York. DiNapoli was working an off-duty security job at a local nightclub when he attempted to break up a fight outside the bar. Earlier in the evening, he had already intervened in a conflict, resulting in several patrons being removed from the premises. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and DiNapoli was shot and killed while trying to restore order.
