Death by Force

Mario Guevara, a 21-year-old resident of Newburgh, NY, was tragically killed on June 2, 2001, in what authorities have labeled a gang-related shooting. The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. near the intersection of William Street and Benkard Avenue. Guevara was shot in the hallway of 112 William St. by two individuals, Juan Barrera, 20, and Eder Silva, 19, who were armed with a .44-caliber revolver and a .308-caliber sawed-off rifle.
