In the early hours of a summer morning in Brooklyn, a celebration of academic achievement turned into a scene of tragedy. Cornell Clarke, a 21-year-old Black man from East New York, was shot and killed on June 8, 2014. The incident occurred shortly after midnight at a college graduation party on Quincy Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
