Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr., a 13-year-old boy from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on September 27, 1994. Nicholas was playing a game of cops and robbers with friends in the stairwell of the Gowanus Houses, a public housing complex where he lived.
