On a late Sunday night in Brooklyn, the life of 28-year-old Andrew Cruz was tragically cut short. It was around 11:30 p.m. on April 3, 2022, when police were dispatched to his second-floor apartment on Blake Avenue near Logan Street in the Cypress Hills neighborhood. Responding to a 911 call, officers from the 75th Precinct made a grim discovery: Cruz was found inside his home with a single, fatal gunshot wound to the head.
