Jaylen Flowers, a 25-year-old resident of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, was tragically shot and killed on September 28, 2020. The incident occurred in the courtyard of the Howard Houses, a public housing development located on Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Flowers was found by police just before 2:25 p.m., lying on the ground with two gunshot wounds to his torso. Despite being rushed to Brookdale Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
