In the early morning hours of September 1, 2015, a burst of gunfire on a Bronx street shattered the predawn quiet, leaving one man dead and another wounded. The life of 22-year-old Rahim Minkins was tragically cut short when he was shot in the head in front of 1023 Rev. James Polite Avenue. The shooting, which occurred at approximately 4 a.m., also resulted in another individual suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
