In the early morning hours of September 11, 2015, Tehron Sims, a 27-year-old Black / African American male, was shot and killed inside his Wyandanch, New York, home. Suffolk County police responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:30 a.m. reporting the shooting on South 29th Street. Upon arrival, they found Sims, who was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of the incident, other individuals were present in the home but were unharmed.
