On January 2, 2023, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 89 South 29th Street in Wyandanch, New York. Upon arrival, officers discovered 45-year-old Herby Legros, a resident of Wyandanch, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Legros was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
