In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Brooklyn, New York, a rising music producer's life was cut short in a sudden act of violence. On October 11, 2015, 31-year-old Eric McKinney, a man known to his friends and family as Carl, was sitting in his black Jeep Wrangler at a red light in the Fort Greene neighborhood.
