Benedict "Benny" Sam, a 46-year-old livery cab driver, was tragically shot and killed on May 31, 2016, in Brooklyn, New York. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of St. John's Place and Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights. Sam was attending a Memorial Day block party when a heated dispute broke out.
