On a quiet Labor Day morning in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, the life of 62-year-old Michael Scully, a man affectionately known as the 'unofficial mayor' of his block, was brought to a tragic and violent end. On September 7, 2020, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Scully was walking his dog near his home on 74th Street and Seventh Avenue when he was fatally shot.
