Charles Mongitore, aged 30, was tragically murdered on June 5, 1980, in Brooklyn, New York. His death was a result of a violent attack orchestrated by members of the notorious DeMeo crew, a faction of the Gambino crime family. Mongitore was shot 14 times by Henry Borelli and Roy DeMeo, and his throat was subsequently slit.
