Philip Scarlett, a 43-year-old father from Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on January 13, 2019, while heroically defending his teenage daughter from an armed attack. The incident occurred at the Kingsborough Houses in Crown Heights, where Scarlett was waiting for his daughter to arrive at his girlfriend's apartment.
