Robert Echeverria, a 56-year-old veteran officer of the New York Police Department (NYPD), tragically died by suicide on August 14, 2019, at his home in Queens, New York. Echeverria, who had served in the NYPD for 25 years and was part of the elite Strategic Response Group, was found by his wife with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
