On a summer evening in Brooklyn, New York, 30-year-old Andrew Grafal’s life was tragically cut short. On June 23, 2020, in the courtyard of the Williamsburg Houses, a public housing project, Grafal was fatally shot in the chest and abdomen. Though wounded, he was able to tell responding officers he had been shot.
