In the early evening of a late June day in East New York, Brooklyn, a burst of violence shattered the neighborhood's calm. Dennis Morgan, a 40-year-old man, found his life brought to an abrupt and tragic end. On June 28, 2023, at approximately 5:44 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on the 800 block of Ashford Street.
