Timothy Oyebola, a 16-year-old honors student from Queens, New York, tragically lost his life on September 21, 2018. He was shot in the head while playing basketball at Chester Playground in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Timothy, affectionately known as "Timi," was an 11th grader at Ascend Charter School and was well-regarded for his intelligence, focus, and love for basketball. On that fateful day, he was struck by a stray bullet, which was not intended for him, while enjoying a game he loved.
