Kleimer Mendez, a 16-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on July 26, 2020, in a drive-by shooting at George Walker Jr. Park in the Cypress Hills neighborhood. The incident occurred while Kleimer and his friends were playing basketball. A dark-colored SUV approached the park, and an individual opened fire from the sunroof, striking Kleimer in the head.
