Vincent "Vinny the Mook" Governara, aged 34, was murdered on June 12, 1976, in Brooklyn, New York. Governara's death was a result of a long-standing vendetta held by Gambino crime family soldier Anthony "Nino" Gaggi. The animosity between Governara and Gaggi began over a decade earlier when Governara broke Gaggi's nose during a street fight.
