Edward "Eddie" Lino, a captain in the Gambino crime family, was murdered on November 6, 1990, in Brooklyn, New York. His death was a result of a contract killing orchestrated by Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso, the underboss of the Lucchese crime family. Casso believed Lino was involved in an attempt on his life and sought retribution.
