At the age of 22, Ian Jose Caicedo-Boza, a male, was a devoted father to his eight-month-old daughter and a passionate rapper who went by the name 'e money.' His life, however, was tragically cut short on July 2, 2015. On the night of July 1, 2015, Caicedo-Boza was shot in the head outside of 81 Crooke Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Born on March 18, 1993, in Brooklyn, Caicedo-Boza had shown a
keen interest in music from a young age. Friends and family remembered him as a man with great potential and a loving heart, who was dedicated to his craft and, most importantly, to his daughter. His death was part of a string of violent incidents that had plagued the neighborhood, causing concern among residents.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the New York Police Department opened an investigation into the homicide. At the time, they reported that no arrests had been made, and the investigation was ongoing.
