In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in November 2015, the life of Hector Luis Diaz Jr., a 35-year-old male, was tragically cut short in his Bushwick, Brooklyn apartment building. Shortly after 1 a.m. on November 4th, Diaz went down to the lobby of his Menahan Street residence. It was there that a bullet, fired through the front door, struck him in the head.
Emergency services were called, and Diaz was rushed to Elmhurst General Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
Born in Queens, Hector was a father to two sons, Hector and Benjamin, and a beloved son and brother. Friends and family remember him as a positive person who had a gift for leaving people in a good mood.
