Ali Eskandarian, a 35-year-old musician, was tragically killed on November 11, 2013, in Brooklyn, New York. Eskandarian was among the victims of a shooting incident that also claimed the lives of Soroush and Arash Farazmand, members of the Iranian-American indie rock band, The Yellow Dogs. The shooter, Ali Akbar Mohammed Rafie, also known as Raefe Akhbar, was a disgruntled musician who had been expelled from another Iranian rock band, Free Keys, in 2012.
