Deandre Irvin, a 34-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2020. Irvin was fatally shot as he left a Sunday dinner with his uncle in the Brownsville neighborhood. The incident occurred at the intersection of Mother Gaston Boulevard and Liberty Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. Irvin was struck in the chest by a bullet and was quickly transported to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
