Vincent Zito, a 77-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was found dead on October 26, 2018, in his Sheepshead Bay home. Zito, who was involved in an illegal loansharking business, was discovered by his 11-year-old grandson with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The investigation into his death revealed that Zito had been murdered by Anthony Pandrella, a longtime friend and associate of the Gambino organized crime family.
