On a tragic autumn day in 2018, the life of 77-year-old Vincent Zito was brought to a violent end in his Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn home. The grim discovery was made by his own 11-year-old grandson, who returned from school on the afternoon of October 26th to find his grandfather shot in the back of the head at close range. The elderly man, a known figure in the community, was the victim of a calculated and brutal act of betrayal by a longtime friend.
