On May 18, 2024, at approximately 10:57 p.m., 30-year-old Lamont Russell was fatally shot near 101 Osborne Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Officers responding to a 911 call discovered Russell with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. A 28-year-old man was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his hand.
