On a late spring evening in Brooklyn, the life of 30-year-old Russell Lamont was cut short by gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred on May 18, 2024, at approximately 10:57 p.m. near 101 Osborne Street in the Brownsville neighborhood. Responding to a 911 call about two people being shot, police officers discovered Lamont with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.
