On November 2, 2024, at approximately 5:51 p.m., 29-year-old Aarmani Dawkins was fatally shot in front of the Grace Towers apartment building located at 2060 Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn's East New York neighborhood. Responding officers from the NYPD's 75th Precinct discovered Dawkins with gunshot wounds to his neck and abdomen.
