On January 6, 2023, at approximately 2:21 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting possible gunshots inside an apartment at 94 Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn, New York. Upon arrival, officers discovered 41-year-old Jermaine Desaussure, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
