On a September morning in 2014, the life of 34-year-old Damon Page of Englewood, New Jersey, was tragically cut short in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Page, a Black male, was fatally shot in an incident that unfolded in the presence of two plainclothes police officers who were on patrol in the area.
