On October 27, 2024, 15-year-old Tristan Jordan Rodriguez Sanders was fatally shot near the Albany Houses in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. At approximately 7:19 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 1008 Saint Marks Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Tristan unconscious with gunshot wounds to his chest. He was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
