On the evening of June 5, 2020, in a crowded deli in East New York, Brooklyn, the life of 28-year-old Evon Hillman was tragically cut short. At approximately 8:20 p.m., a man named Marcus Worrell entered the establishment located at 620 Livonia Avenue and opened fire, shooting Hillman multiple times. According to testimony, Hillman died instantly, but the gunman continued to fire even after he had fallen to the ground.
