John D. Thomson, a 72-year-old man from Grand Rapids Township, Ohio, tragically died on July 26, 2020. According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, Thomson was found deceased in the 17000 block of Wapakoneta Road. The preliminary investigation suggested that his death was due to an accidental discharge of a firearm. Thomson had called 911 himself before being found, and emergency services responded to the scene.
