In the early hours of Easter Sunday, a day typically marked by renewal and celebration, the life of Cain Smalls, a 29-year-old Black man from Poughkeepsie, New York, was tragically cut short. On April 17, 2022, at approximately 3:56 a.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet outside Noah's Ark, a neighborhood bar located at 135 Mill Street.
