On a summer evening in Poughkeepsie, New York, the life of 24-year-old Tyshawn Crosslands was tragically cut short. On August 15, 2020, Crosslands was at a party at King Street Park, surrounded by approximately 40 people. The gathering turned chaotic at around 8:30 p.m. when gunfire erupted, and Crosslands was struck.
