Atiba Proverbs, a 27-year-old resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2022, in a violent incident that occurred at the Casablanca grocery store on Main Street. Proverbs was shot multiple times in what was later described as an ambush by Carlton Belton, a 31-year-old man from the same city.
