In the late afternoon of December 29, 2022, a fatal encounter unfolded in the Morrisania section of the Bronx. Aboubacar Toure, a 34-year-old male, was at his place of work, an auto body shop, when a plan to steal his vehicle turned deadly. Just before 5 p.m., in the vicinity of East 167th Street and Park Avenue, he was shot in the hip. Emergency services were called to the scene and transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, but his life could not be saved, and he was pronounced decease ...
