In the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Bronx, a burst of gunfire on a Friday night left a young man dead. On the evening of September 13, 2024, police responded to calls of a shooting near Anthony Avenue and East Tremont Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered 24-year-old Mahmudo Jabbi with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.
