On October 21, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., 32-year-old Felipe Antonio García Tatis, also known as Misael, was fatally shot in the torso inside the Gourmet Deli Corp bodega on University Avenue near Brandt Place in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. Emergency responders transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
