Felipe Antonio Garcia Tatis, a 32-year-old Hispanic male, found his life tragically cut short on the morning of October 21, 2024. At approximately 7:30 a.m., inside the Gourmet Deli Corp bodega located on University Avenue near Brandt Place in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, he was fatally shot in the torso. Emergency services arrived at the scene and quickly transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
