In the autumn of 2011, a tragedy unfolded in District Heights, Maryland, forever altering the lives of several families. On the evening of November 15th, 31-year-old Marvin Tomlinson was near a playground at an apartment complex on County Road when a minivan approached. A group of young men emerged from the vehicle and initiated a robbery, targeting Tomlinson and the four teenage boys he was with.
