On the evening of April 6, 2020, 30-year-old Damario Cooper, a Black/African American male from District Heights, Maryland, was fatally shot in his hometown. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. in the 6200 block of E Hil Mar Circle, where responding officers found Cooper outside with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting that claimed Cooper's life was part of a triple shooting, which resulted in two other individuals being injured.
Investigators from the Homicide Unit of the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the scene to begin their inquiry into the events that transpired.
