On the evening of April 6, 2020, 30-year-old Damario Cooper, a Black/African American male from District Heights, Maryland, was fatally shot in his hometown. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. in the 6200 block of E Hil Mar Circle, where responding officers found Cooper outside with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
