On December 6, 2024, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6200 block of Surrey Square Lane in District Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered two men in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds: 24-year-old Vernon Bond III and 28-year-old Jonathan Jamal Williams, both residents of Washington, D.C. Despite prompt medical attention, both individuals were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
