Jorge Leonardo Melo, a 26-year-old resident of Stafford, VA, tragically lost his life on January 22, 2017. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office reported that Melo was fatally shot, leading to an intensive investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for his death. The investigation, which initially had no leads, was spearheaded by Detectives Barry Surles and Todd Nosal, with significant contributions from numerous other detectives, patrol deputies, and SWAT team members.
