On a late November evening in 2016, the life of Joseph Ray Davis, a 37-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Stafford, Virginia. The incident unfolded on November 30th at the Madison Falls Run apartment complex on Green Tree Road. Responding to reports of gunfire, Stafford County Sheriff's deputies discovered Mr. Davis with a fatal gunshot wound.
Witnesses at the scene provided a description of a man seen fleeing on foot shortly after the shots were fired.
This prompted a swift and thorough search of the area by law enforcement. Less than an hour after the initial call, a suspect was apprehended.
The individual taken into custody was identified as 23-year-old Ryan Daron Fair. Following his arrest, Fair was charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was subsequently held without bond as the investigation into the death of Joseph Ray Davis continued.
