Eric Alexander Melgar, a 20-year-old resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2015, in a fatal shooting incident at the Wheaton Metro station parking garage. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the third level of the parking garage, where Melgar was shot multiple times following a confrontation with two individuals. Despite being transported to a nearby hospital, Melgar succumbed to his injuries.
