In a tragic turn of events that unfolded in a Silver Spring, Maryland, home, a dispute between two housemates culminated in a fatal shooting. Michael Sutton, a 40-year-old male, was found deceased inside his residence on Balmoral Drive on the afternoon of January 18, 2021. The quiet neighborhood was disrupted by the sound of gunfire, and when police responded to the report of a shooting at approximately 12:42 p.m., they discovered Sutton with traumatic injuries.
His death was later ruled a homicide.
The investigation into the untimely death of Michael Sutton quickly focused on a fellow tenant of the same residence. Andre R. Moore, who was 21 years old at the time, was identified by detectives as the suspect in the shooting. It was determined that following the incident, Moore had fled the home on foot.
